Worldline has signed an agreement with Banque Raiffeisen for cloud-based payment processing via instant messaging in Luxembourg. This partnership will enable Banque Raiffeisen to comply with the EU regulation on instant payments, thus sending and receiving instant payments as per the EU directive.

The new Worldline cloud infrastructure will facilitate the provision of TIPS and smarter onboarding processes for Banque Raiffeisen, leading to faster and more efficient instant payment processing in the Eurozone.

Worldline Banque Raiffeisen has been a partner for many years, providing services such as clearing, processing and issuance of SEPA transfers.

“Our offering will provide Banque Raiffeisen with a comprehensive instant payments solution with fast time to market and added value. We look forward to working more closely with Banque Raiffeisen in exciting new ways,” said Sheri Branson, CMO of Financial Services at Worldline.

Eric Peyer, member of the Executive Committee of Banque Raiffeisen, commented that thanks to the Instant Payment system, the bank’s services are expanding. It offers its customers and prepares for future developments in point-of-sale payments and peer-to-peer payments.

New partnerships

A few weeks ago, Worldline and Visa entered into a global partnership aimed at offering online travel agencies a specialized business-to-business (B2B) virtual card program.

April is a month of celebrations. Credit Agricole and Worldline have collaborated to launch CAWL, a brand new program that offers tailor-made solutions to merchants in various industries. CAWL combines Worldline’s expertise with Credit Agricole Group’s global payment service technology in the banking market.

Worldline’s latest financial performance

The French payment and transaction services company reports first-quarter consolidated revenues of nearly €1.1 billion by 2024, with organic growth of 2.5%. Merchant services revenues amounted to €787 million. Financial services saw a decrease of €225 million and an increase of 3.9%. The 1.4% figure is a significant amount.

In addition, Worldline announced its annual results for 2023 at the end of February. Organic revenue growth of €4.61 billion is an increase of 6% year-on-year. Worldline has set an organic revenue growth target of at least 3% for 2024. EBITDA is expected to be EUR 1.17 billion.
