Fun fact: This phrase is being used since the early days of Bitcoin, it however shot to greater fame after the Consensus Investment Conference which was held in New York in November 2018 (months after a monster rally in the price of Bitcoin) when BitMEX (Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange) has rented 3 Lamborghinis and were parked outside the event venue to signal the presence of cryptocurrency investors.
