SEC Approves 11 Spot Bitcoin Exchange Traded Funds for Options Trading on the NYSE
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved a series of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with 11 now cleared for listing and trading. Options linked to the spot price of bitcoin on the New York Stock Exchange can be listed more promptly as a result. This decision comes after a public regulatory filing. Earlier this year, in January, the SEC also granted approval for bitcoin ETFs designed to monitor the value of the cryptocurrency.
