The commission has stressed that neither the Director General nor any of his staff will ask for personal information through online platforms, phone calls or emails are all ways of making investments. The public is urged by SEC Nigeria to confirm the identity of any person claiming to represent them.
The commission always sends official communications to verified email addresses, official websites, social media handles and phone numbers. SEC Nigeria urges citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
