Cryptocurrency companies serving Taiwanese customers must adhere to the newly established AML regulations. These updated requirements mandate that these companies register to ensure compliance with the regulations. Non-compliance may lead to severe penalties, including prison sentences of up to 2 years or fines reaching 5,000,000 New Taiwan Dollars (around US$154,000).
